Maintenance Schedule

Let’s talk about the 11 courses of the British Open rotation. They’re legendary. They’re fabled. They’re part of the game’s rich history. The characteristics of the courses are quite unique and are significantly different than courses you may be used to here in the United States. Links land is defined as, “undulating sandy ground covered by coarse grass and near the sea”.  Although lacking a coastal setting, Royal Links Golf Club is dedicated to providing a links experience in the heart of Las Vegas.  Now imagine transplanting 18 of the best holes from Scotland and England across the world to the desert climate of Las Vegas.

To honor the heritage of these courses we practice traditional greens keeping, we strive to provide a true links experience by recreation a tight, lean and firm surface that gives the ball a great deal of bounce.  Links golf is better played where bounce and roll are a priority rather than color.  Our goal is to provide a world class playing surface while focusing on playability – where gold and brown are a preferred palette rather than a more familiar green. Therefore, each hole will be maintained as it is maintained across the pond, a true links golfing experience at Royal Links Golf Club.
